Program Description
The Application Development program track provides the student with an understanding of client-side scripting technologies. This program develops and analyses data structures that may be used to store information involved in solving problems. The program also describes common structures and algorithms in terms of their allowable operations. Fundamental concepts, principles and techniques for designing and implementing Microsoft’s Visual Basic (now known as .NET) applications will be covered.
Work Places
Work places include businesses in the public and private sectors, including for profit and not for profit organizations. The specific duties of an entry level Application Developer-- responsible for development of a software product in a planned and structured process-- will often vary from office to office due to office size, location, and specialty.
Professional Preparation
Specific program objectives are designed to provide graduates with knowledge and techniques and tools to develop and analyze data structures that may be used in computer storage to represent the information involved in solving problems. Student is exposed to common structures and algorithms in terms of their allowable operations. Implements advanced data structures through the concept of dynamic storage. Graduate is will be able to design and implement .NET applications and understand client-side scripting technologies.
