EMPHASIS IN E-COMMERCE SYSTEM MANAGEMENT


Program Length

This program offers 39 semester credit hours.

Program Description

The E-Commerce System Management program provides the student with an understanding of client-side scripting technology. Students will be taught how to create form validations, cookies, and special effects. The program also offers an introduction to data communication and networking where topics such telecommunication standards, protocols, equipment, network topologies, communication. Fundamentals of marketing activity in modern businesses are presented.

Work Places

Work places include businesses in the public and private sectors, including for profit and not for profit organizations. The specific duties of an entry level E-Commerce System Manager, a person responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and repair of an organization’s online store, will often vary from office to office due to office size, location, and specialty.

Professional Preparation

Specific program objectives are designed to provide graduates with an understanding of client-side scripting technology, data communication and networking.
