Students wishing to officially withdraw from the University must complete a withdrawal form with an academic advisor, who submits it to the Office of the Registrar through the appropriate Department. The Registrar makes written notification of a withdrawal to applicable parties. Only this written notification constitutes an official withdrawal. All balances become due at the time of the withdrawal from the University.
The Last Date of Attendance (LDA) is used as the official date of withdrawal in all cases for refund calculations. Please see the Refund Policy section of this document for financial obligations incurred when withdrawing from the University. “W” grades will be assigned to all courses at the time of withdrawal. A student who does not attend the University for 15 calendar days without making special arrangements with the Academic Affairs Office is unofficially withdrawn from the University. A student who is administratively withdrawn from the University receives a “W” grade for all courses enrolled.
A student who withdraws from a course or the
University during the last week of the semester/term/session will receive the
grade earned at the point of withdrawal.
